Organizational Structure and Currency Settings

Configure the structures every other number in ValueWorks is reported against.

Same knowledge, two overlays: analysts learn what switching a rate version does; administrators learn they're the ones creating the version being switched to.

Organizational Structure is a simple org chart: the company at the top, with every department beneath it โ€” in this tenant, Product Development & Operations, Product Management, QA, Finance, HR, Hi, and one more โ€” each with a named lead underneath. This is the same department list that appears throughout ValueWorks: the OKR module's department sections, the driver tree hierarchy, and anywhere else "department" is a dimension all draw from this one structure. An Edit button sits top-right.

Currency Settings states plainly: "The corporate currency is the currency that will be displayed throughout the ValueWorks platform. In case you would like to change it, please contact your customer success contact in order to inquire about the process." โ€” changing the corporate currency itself is not self-service.

Adding a new exchange-rate version is: "download the template and populate the exchange rates you want to use. Each column represents a dated exchange rate. If only one column is used, this rate will be applied across all time ranges. If multiple columns are used, please add a date in the correct format (dd.mm.yyyy) in the header of the column. This date will be used to apply the rates from this date onward. The earliest date will by default be used for all dates preceding it, as well as all dates that come before the second earliest exchange rate date." The FX Rates table lists every version uploaded (Name, Author, Last updated), with one marked Integration Active โ€” the version actually feeding the platform right now. Each row's own โ‹ฎ menu offers Rename, Download, Re-Upload, Delete.

Takeaways

  • Organizational Structure is the single source for the department dimension used everywhere else in ValueWorks โ€” OKRs, driver tree, and more.

  • Changing the corporate currency itself requires contacting customer success โ€” it isn't self-service.

  • Adding an exchange-rate version is: a dated-column template, uploaded โ€” a single undated column applies everywhere; multiple dated columns apply from their date onward, with the earliest covering everything before it.

  • Only one FX Rate version is Integration Active at a time โ€” that's the one actually feeding the platform.
