Dynamic dashboards

Build a sectioned dashboard people can filter for themselves.

Thirty KPIs is unreadable until the reader can hide the twenty-five that are fine.

KPI cards sit under named sections, each collapsible, with Collapse all to fold the lot. Sections are how a long dashboard stays navigable.

Above them sit the same two filters as the Operational Dashboard. Trend takes a period and four colour chips, so a reader can show only the KPIs moving unfavourably. Deviation takes a comparison and four buttons for the deviation bands.

These filters are the point of the type. You are not building a fixed view; you are building something a reader narrows down themselves.

Filter setup configures what those filters offer, and Edit opens the layout. PDF export turns the dashboard as it currently stands into a file — filters, date and all — which makes it the way to send a dynamic dashboard to someone who has no login.
