View modes
Switch between DEFAULT, FOCUS and IMPACT and know what each is for.
Selecting a node doesn't just open its panel — it can change what the whole canvas shows.
Three buttons — DEFAULT, FOCUS, IMPACT — sit beside the data-layer checkboxes. DEFAULT is the ordinary full-tree view. FOCUS narrows the canvas to one node: select it while FOCUS is active, and the node itself carries an orange FOCUS badge — a clickable button in its own right, not just a label — while a chip reading "FOCUSED ON [node name]" appears top-centre of the canvas, with an × to clear it and a separate Isolated toggle sitting beside that ×. That chip is the tell: it's how you know you're in a narrowed view rather than looking at the whole tree, and it's the way back out.
IMPACT is a driver-strength filter: it highlights the tree's strong drivers and fades or hides the weak ones, rather than showing what a change would ripple into downstream. That's a different job from Propagate (7.9), which actually recalculates values — IMPACT changes what you see, not what's stored.
Inspect, in the second toolbar row, runs a health check across the whole tree — flagging suspicious names, orphaned nodes, or duplicates — rather than duplicating the single-node detail you get from clicking a card.

- 1The "FOCUSED ON…" chip, top-centre — the confirmation you're in a narrowed view
- 2Its × clears focus; the separate Isolated toggle sits right beside it
- 3The FOCUS badge on the selected node itself

Takeaways
DEFAULT is the ordinary view of the whole tree.
FOCUS: a clickable badge on the node, a "FOCUSED ON…" chip top-centre, an × to exit, and an Isolated toggle beside it.
IMPACT highlights strong drivers and fades weak ones — a filter, not a ripple preview. Inspect is a tree-wide health check.
