Recipients, send and share

Distribute the approved report to the intended audience.

Sending is a communication action, not just a button at the end of editing.

Open Recipients from the people icon. The recipient table shows Name, Email, Role, Sent Date and Action, and + Add New Recipient adds another recipient. Search and verify the intended person before distribution.

Approve & Send approves the report and sends it to the selected recipients in one step.

Sending inside ValueWorks is not the only way a report leaves the platform. Download, in the top action bar alongside Approve and Recipients, offers two export formats: a PDF export and an Excel export. Both produce a static copy of the report as it currently stands — the right choice when someone needs a file to read offline, attach to an email thread outside the recipient list, or archive outside the platform entirely. PDF is the natural pick for something meant to be read as-is; Excel is the one to reach for when the recipient needs to work with the underlying figures — recalculate, filter, or drop them into their own model. Either way, downloading is a snapshot: if the report changes afterward, the file you already have does not update — download again for a current copy.

Check names carefully when internal and external contacts have similar details. Sending is a communication action and should happen only after the audience and report state are confirmed.

The Recipients dialog, showing a Users table with sortable Name, Email, Role, Sent Date and Action columns, one recipient row carrying a C-Level role and an empty Sent Date alongside resend and delete icons, with + Add New Recipient beneath the table and a Close button.
